Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Peshawar Zalmi has expressed concerns over the schedule of PSL 9. The Zalmi administration says that the schedule was not taken into confidence before it was announced.
In a statement issued by the Peshawar Zalmi administration, the team administration said that in principle the matches of PSL 9 should have been held in Peshawar. The administration said that Peshawar Zalmi has serious concerns about the schedule and venues of the matches.
According to the administration, neither Peshawar Zalmi was included in the entire schedule process nor was it taken into confidence before releasing the schedule.
Peshawar Zalmi management said in a statement that Peshawar Zalmi management is disappointed that only four matches of Peshawar Zalmi have been scheduled in Rawalpindi and only one match in Karachi.
According to the administration, before the release of the schedule, Peshawar Zalmi had requested for five matches to be played in Rawalpindi, a venue close to Peshawar and three matches due to Zalmi’s support in Karachi.
The administration said that Peshawar Zalmi supporters come from Peshawar to Rawalpindi to fill the house and Karachi also has a large fan base of Peshawar Zalmi.
The administration also confirmed that after the release of the schedule, it was requested to reduce the four matches scheduled in Lahore, Peshawar to five matches in Pindi and three in Karachi, while the board officials also went to the PCB headquarters and expressed their concerns. Was informed.
The team said that not only the fans of Peshawar Zalmi are disappointed with the current schedule, but also the commercial and marketing department of Zalmi has difficulties and concerns.
He said that Peshawar Zalmi demands to hold their three more matches in Rawalpindi and will continue to protest the situation during PSL 9.
