Karachi: The security forces and law enforcement agencies, in a major operation, captured the large network of TTP in Karachi.
TTP terrorists were planning operations in Karachi. Intelligence agencies took timely action and arrested him from Karachi.
17 terrorists including important commanders were arrested in this operation of the security forces. According to security sources, these terrorists were wanted by law enforcement agencies for serious crimes like target killing and extortion.
They were organized as madrassa students from Afghanistan under the auspices of the TTP leadership.
The arrested terrorists were part of the TTP network from 2007 to 2014 and were involved in various attacks on security forces and NGOs in Swat/Malakand.
These terrorists were also involved in communal, ethnic, targeted killing of politicians and attacks on law enforcement agencies in Karachi.
The network used to raise funds for the top leadership of the TTP in Afghanistan through extortion activities and kidnapping for ransom.
The network also harbored suicide bombers in the madrassa who were to be used in various operations from Afghanistan to Karachi and other parts of the country.
