Lahore: Due to smog and dry cold, the cases of pneumonia are continuously increasing, in the last 24 hours, 230 more cases of pneumonia have been reported in Punjab.

According to Express News, 135 cases of typhoid have been reported in Lahore in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of cases in Lahore is 1290, while the total number of children suffering from typhoid in Punjab has reached 7963.

Pneumonia is also causing death among children, in the last 24 hours, 7 children have died of pneumonia in Punjab while 2 children have died in Lahore.

The total number of children who died from pneumonia in the province has reached 179.

Hundreds of children are being treated for pneumonia, chest infections and viral infections in the hospitals of Lahore, more than 58 children are being treated in Children’s Hospital alone.

Apart from this, children suffering from pneumonia and viral infections are also admitted in Jinnah Hospital, Services, General and Ganga Ram Hospitals.

On the other hand, there has been a shortage of pneumonia vaccine and medicines in the general market due to which the families of the patients are facing severe difficulties.

Meanwhile, Director CTD in his message has appealed to the parents to complete the immunization course to protect the children from pneumonia and other diseases.
