Pakistan Cricket Board has introduced retainers for its panel of women umpires, all 7 women umpires in the panel will get 32 ​​thousand rupees per month.

Recently, PCB organized a 4-day women umpires induction course in Lahore, in which 13 women including Pakistan Women’s team captain Nida Dar and former international cricketer Sakhn Faiz participated.

Along with retainers, PCB also provides other benefits including match fee, daily allowance, hotel accommodation, air and ground travel to its match officials during the cricket season.

PCB Senior Manager Umpires and Referees, Bilal Qureshi says it is good to see women making strides in the field of umpiring.

He further said that PCB has introduced monthly retainers along with provision of accommodation and travel to ensure the dignity and respect of these umpires.

Bilal Qureshi also said that this step will encourage more women to come forward, PCB will continue to encourage women to come and grow in this sector.

The umpires included in the PCB Women’s Panel of Umpires are Aafia Amin, Humira Farah, Nazia Nazir, Rafat Mustafa, Sabahat Rasheed, Salima Imtiaz and Shakeela Rafique.
