Karachi: A citizen riding in a car was killed by the firing of bandits in Bifrozen, while the bandit was also killed by the citizen’s retaliatory firing.
SHO Timuriya Khalid Hussain Soomro said that the victim was identified as 30-year-old Sameer, who worked in real estate, while the incident took place in Buffarzone Sector 15A1.
According to the police, Sameer was riding in a car with his family when 3 bandits on 2 motorcycles took him hostage at gunpoint and were looting.
SHO Timuriya says that the deceased Samir also fired at the robbers with his weapon, as a result of which one of the robbers was seriously injured by the bullet, and his accomplices escaped from the spot.
Khalid Hussain Soomro said that the bandits took his injured companion in a rickshaw near the bus stop of North Nazimabad Route 2 and sent him to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, who died on the way while he himself escaped from the spot.
The police say that the woman accompanying the deceased Sameer has recognized the slain robber, while the accused could not be identified immediately, but efforts are being made in this regard.
It should be noted that during this year, 20 people, including two women and a police officer of the Anti-Encroachment Cell, have lost their lives due to firing by robbers.
