Peshawar / Islamabad: Following the order of the Peshawar High Court, the Election Commission of Pakistan has changed the election symbol of PTI leader Kamran Bangash as an independent candidate.

According to details, in Peshawar High Court, PTI leader and independent candidate Kamran Bangash had challenged the election symbol given by the Election Commission and demanded to change it.

After the hearing, Peshawar High Court directed the Election Commission to change the election symbol after consultation with the candidate, on which the Election Commission changed the election symbol of Kamran Bangash.

Kamran Bangash has now been given the electoral symbol of ‘racket’ by the Election Commission.

On the other hand, on the issue of changing the election symbols of independent candidates in Bahawalpur, the Election Commission summoned Regional, District Election Commissioner, Assistant Director Law Bahawalpur to Islamabad headquarters on Thursday.

The Election Commission directed Regional, District Election Commissioner, Assistant Director Law Bahawalpur Coalition Commission to give a briefing and also called for the report of the hearing held in the Bahawalpur High Court Bench.

The High Court has issued an order to change the symbols of candidates in 2 constituencies of the National Assembly and three constituencies of the Provincial Assembly from Bahawalpur.
