Private TV bureau chief Shoaib Birni was injured in the firing by unknown suspects in Karachi.
According to Express News, unknown motorcycle-riding suspects opened fire on Shoaib Birni, a member of the Crime Reporters Association and Bureau Chief of Private TV, near the wedding hall in Federal B Industrial Area, as a result of which he was injured.
Shoaib Barni was transferred to a private hospital in Gulshan Iqbal for medical assistance, where it was found that he had a bullet in his hand, his condition is said to be out of danger.
Shoaib had gone to a wedding ceremony at Birni Shaadi Hall, he was parking his car when the motorcycle-borne accused opened fire, injuring him and breaking the car’s windows.
IG Sindh Rafat Mukhtar Raja sought the details of the incident from DIG West. The IG Sindh said that the accused involved will be brought to book by effective investigation of the incident.
Crime Reporters Association condemned the attack on Shoaib Birni and demanded the law enforcement agencies to arrest the accused involved in the attack as soon as possible.
Journalist organizations also strongly condemned the incident of Shoaib Barni firing and demanded the Chief Minister and IG Sindh Police to immediately arrest the criminals who fired on Shoaib Barni.
