The funeral prayers of the three officers who were martyred in the attack on the Karachi Police Chief’s office were performed, while the last rites of Ajmal Masih, who sacrificed his life in the incident, were also performed.
On Friday evening, terrorists attacked the office of Additional IG Karachi on Shaara Faisal. Two terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire with the police while the third tore off his suicide jacket.
Two police personnel and one Rangers personnel were martyred in the incident. The funeral prayers of Rangers personnel Taimur were performed at the Rangers headquarters, while the funeral prayers of police personnel Ghulam Abbas and Saeed were performed at the Central Police Office.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odhu and other senior officials participated in the funeral prayer.
After the funeral prayers, the body of the Rangers officer was sent to Multan, while the bodies of the police officers were also sent to their native areas in Sindh.
The last rites of Ajmal Masih, who sacrificed his life in the incident, were also performed at the police head office, after which the body was sent to Punjab.
