Balochistan's 2200 missing persons returned, only 466 remain, Information Minister

Quetta: Jan Achakzai, caretaker information minister of Balochistan has said that some people are running anti-state campaign in the name of missing persons.

Speaking to the media in Quetta, John Achakzai said that the anti-state propaganda campaign in the name of missing persons has failed because at present only 820 people are missing in Pakistan.

He claimed that 2,200 people who went missing in Balochistan have returned while only 466 are still missing.

John Achakzai said that 8 thousand cases of missing persons have been solved and the rest will be solved soon.

It should be noted that the Baloch Solidarity Council has been protesting outside the National Press Club in Islamabad for several days against forced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and fake police encounters.
