Due to the increase in the severity of the cold, suddenly big holidays have been announced in the educational institutions.
According to the details, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, in which important decisions were taken after a long consultation about prevention and preventive measures against pneumonia.
Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab also expressed concern over the increase in cases of pneumonia among children.
In the meeting, suggestions were presented by the caretaker provincial education minister Mansoor Qadir, health secretary, special health secretary and health experts and senior doctors.
Mohsin Naqvi was told that eight out of ten children in Lahore’s Children’s Hospital were suffering from pneumonia, after which the caretaker Punjab government banned morning assembly in schools across Punjab till January 31 and class one. A seven-day holiday has been announced for nursery and playgroup classes below.
