Islamabad: The election tribunals accepted the papers of several candidates including PTI leader Asad Qaiser and Taimur Jhagra.

The hearings of the appeals of the candidates against the rejection of the nomination papers by the returning officers are going on in the election tribunals of the high courts. 4 days left for appeals decisions. All decisions will be announced by January 10.

The Election Tribunal in Rawalpindi accepted the papers of Fauzia Bahram from Constituency PP 23 Chakwal, rejected the objections of the Returning Officer and allowed her to contest the election.

Election tribunals in Peshawar accepted the appeals of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former finance minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Taimur Saleem Jhagra, former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, former MNA Sher Ali Arbab.

The Election Tribunal also accepted the appeal of PTI Hangu President Yusuf Khan from NA 36 Hangu.

In Rawalpindi, the head of the Election Tribunal, Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf, announced all the candidates of Tehreek-e-Insaf, former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Major Tahir Sadiq, his wife Naz Sadiq, former Law Minister Raja Basharat from PP-15, Colonel Ajmal Sabir, Murtaza Sati. , Tariq Murtaza, Seemabiya Tahir, former minister Raja Rashid Hafeez approved their papers and allowed them to contest the election.

Meanwhile, the Election Tribunal in Sindh dismissed the appeals of PTI’s Subhan Sahil from constituency NA 243, Amjad Afridi from constituency NA 242, Hasnain Chauhan from PS 113, Makhdoom Fazal from Hala.

The tribunal accepted appeals against the decision of the returning officers of PPP candidate Rauf Ahmed and independent candidate Rafia Hasan from constituency PS-126, independent candidate Jamaluddin and Didar Ali, Fiza Zeeshan from NA-237.
