It seems that the returning officer rejected the amateur faction papers, Election Tribunal

Karachi: PTI and others started getting relief against the decisions of the returning officers, the Election Tribunal accepted the appeals against the rejection of the nomination papers of more PTI candidates.

Justice Adnan Al Kareem Memon remarked that no one can be prevented from contesting the elections on the basis of cases alone, candidates are being deliberately prevented from contesting the elections, it seems that the returning officer rejected the nomination papers out of hand.

In the Sindh High Court, a hearing was held on the appeals of political parties and independent candidates against the decisions of the returning officers.

The Election Tribunal rejected the appeals of PTI’s Subhan Sahil from constituency NA 243, Amjad Afridi from constituency NA 242, Hasnain Chauhan of PS 113, Makhdoom Fazal from Hala.

The tribunal accepted appeals against the decision of the returning officers of PPP candidate Rauf Ahmed and independent candidate Rafia Hasan from constituency PS-126, independent candidate Jamaluddin and Didar Ali, Fiza Zeeshan from NA-237.

For not allowing the candidates to contest the elections, Judge Adnan Al Karim Memon of the Election Tribunal gave strong remarks on the competence of the returning officers and said whether the candidates are being deliberately prevented from contesting the elections. It seems that the Returning Officer has rejected the nomination papers out of hand. No one can be prevented from contesting elections on the basis of mere cases.

The tribunal also reprimanded the Election Commission of the head and remarked that when the returning telescope could not identify the facts properly, how can we do it?

Justice Adnan Al Kareem Memon, while having an interesting dialogue with the candidates and lawyers, remarked that go, father, go and prepare to contest the elections.
