Quetta: The intensity of winter has increased in many cities of Balochistan, snowfall has started. The low-lying areas have been flooded due to rain throughout the last night.
According to Express News, snow is continuing in various districts of North Balochistan including Kan Mehtarzai Khanuzai and Ziarat and Qalat, while the low-lying areas have been flooded after the rain in Quetta. Rain in Dikki and snowfall in Kalat including Sanjawi Chotir made the weather colder. In Sahabpur Sui also, the weather intensified due to rain.
There, the mountains and buildings in Ziarat Valley and Garnawah have been covered with white sheets due to snowfall. 6 inches of snow in the city and 8 inches in the mountains. The snowfall started late at night and continued till early morning. Due to the snowfall, the mountains of Ziarat city are presenting attractive natural scenery.
According to the meteorological department, the intensity of cold has also increased due to snowfall. The minimum temperature was recorded as minus 2 today.
Meanwhile, the first rain of winter fell in Dera Murad Jamali city and suburbs. Rain in Nasirabad increased the intensity of cold. As soon as the rains started, electricity and gas went out, leaving the citizens in trouble. Also in Quetta, electricity went out in different areas of the city after the late night rain. Manjhipur city and its surroundings turned cold after rain.
