PTI appeals to High Court for meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad: PTI approached the High Court for a rally in Islamabad.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf approached the Islamabad High Court for permission to hold public meetings, rallies, conventions, and political activities in the federal capital, requesting that public meetings, rallies, workers’ conventions and political activities be allowed.

4 different petitions have been filed by PTI in the High Court. Chairman PTI, Barrister Gohar, while filing a petition, requested that his founder PTI Imran Khan be allowed to meet and hold political consultations in jail.

Senior Vice President of Tehreek-e-Insaf Sher Afzal Marwat has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court and said that the party is not being allowed to carry out political activities in different areas of the country. Meetings, rallies and meetings are not being allowed, on the contrary, all other parties are being given open freedom for political activities.

It has been stated in the petition that treating Tehreek-e-Insaf like a stepmother is a violation of Article 25 of the Constitution. On November 24, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad was requested for NOC to hold the rally, despite the passage of a month, no decision has been issued on the application for NOC.

In the petition filed by PTI, it has been requested that the court should allow the Tehreek-e-Insaaf to hold public meetings, rallies, worker conventions and political activities in Islamabad, and prevent the parties from imposing any conditions on the political rights of the Tehreek-e-Insaaf. And orders should be issued to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad not to stop Tehreek-e-Insaf from holding political activities and public meetings and also order to provide facilities for holding political activities.
