Spokesman Rangers said in a statement that the Pakistan Army, Rangers and Police foiled the terrorist attack by fighting bravely.

The spokesperson said that Brigadier, Wing Commanders and jawans of Qalandar Force of Rangers participated in the operation, Rangers cleared the police office building step by step through joint action.
According to the spokesperson of Rangers, sub-inspector Timur of Rangers was martyred while 7 jawans were injured in the encounter with the terrorists.
Rangers spokesperson added that 3 terrorists were killed during the operation, the dead terrorists were wearing suicide jackets. The terrorists also used modern weapons and hand grenades.
