No clue despite having 22 JITs? Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto

Karachi: The Sindh High Court has sought a progress report on the upcoming hearing from the SP Investigation on the applications related to the recovery of missing persons.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto heard the petitions related to the recovery of missing persons.

The court asked the investigating officer how many JITs have been conducted? The investigating officer said that 22 JITs and 16 provincial task force meetings have been held.

Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto asked the investigating officer that despite having 22 JITs, no clue was found?

The investigating officer said that the efforts are on. Earlier, the investigating officer of this case has been transferred and my appointment has just been made.

The father of the missing citizen said that since 2013 my son Bilal has been missing from Ajmer Nagri, it has been 11 years but till now nothing is known. Been going around the courts and police station for 11 years, but still no trace.
Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto remarked that we are not happy with the action of the police.

The court inquired from the investigating officer as to what steps have been taken to recover the missing citizen from the city court. The investigating officer said that a JIT has been conducted, in the JIT it has been found that the missing citizen Ghulam Nabi was to appear in the city court in the Firozabad case. But the citizen did not appear in the city court. We have investigated, called his family and friends and found that he was in contact with friends and family on December 9. Friends of the missing citizen have said that he had taken millions in loans, which suggests that he himself is in hiding. Letters have been written to the concerned departments for further investigation.

The court adjourned the hearing till January 25 while seeking a progress report from the SP investigation on the next hearing.
