Islamabad: FIA arrested former chairman Drap in fake degree and corruption case.
Special Judge Central Court Islamabad Shahrukh Arjamand dismissed the pre-arrest bail of former chairman DRAP in the fake degree case, after which FIA arrested Sheikh Akhtar Hussain on charges of fake degree and corruption.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took Sheikh Akhtar Hussain into custody after the court denied him pre-arrest bail. According to FIA, former chairman DRAP Sheikh Akhtar is accused of corruption of two and a half billion rupees.
According to the spokesperson of the Federal Investigation Agency, Sheikh Akhtar Hussain got the appointment of the CEO of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan on a fake degree. The PhD degree presented by the accused for the job turned out to be fake. The accused was appointed as CEO Drap during 2018 and 2019. The investigation has been started against the accused Sheikh Akhtar Hussain.
