Islamabad: In connection with the general elections 2024 to be held in the country on February 8, the Election Commission has issued instructions for nomination papers.

According to the post of the Election Commission, a candidate can submit a maximum of five nomination papers with different recommenders, the fee for submission of nomination papers for the National Assembly is Rs.

The candidate must be a citizen of Pakistan and the age of the candidate must not be less than 25 years at the time of submission of nomination papers.

Along with the nomination papers, the candidate must attach a certified copy of the identity card of his recommender and endorser. The candidate shall attach the income tax returns of the last three years with the nomination papers.

A candidate for a seat in the National Assembly should be a voter from any place in Pakistan, but a candidate for a seat in a provincial assembly should be from the respective province. For the seats reserved for women in the National Assembly, the candidate must be a voter of the respective province.

It should be noted that the nomination papers can be submitted in the office of the concerned Returning Officer from 20 to 23 December.
