3 people including a child were killed in a gas cylinder explosion in Karachi.
A child and others were also injured in a gas cylinder explosion in the Mosquito Colony area of Karachi. Due to the explosion, the 3-storey building became a pile of rubble.
SSP Kemari Arif Aslam says that 7 to 8 people were hit by the debris while others were injured due to burns. Immediately after the explosion, the 3-storey building collapsed. The SSP further said that gas cylinders were being kept in the shop from a pick-up, and when one of the cylinders exploded, other cylinders kept in the shop also exploded.

According to local people, the owner of the collapsed building is ex-Councillor No Islam Haqqani, whose 2 married daughters were also living in the same building. Apart from them, two more families also lived in the building.
