Training of returning officers continues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The training process will be completed by December 19, Provincial Election Commission

Peshawar: Training of District Returning Officers and Returning Officers has started again in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Provincial Election Commission says that the training process will be completed by December 19. A total of 160 returning officers and 36 district returning officers are being trained in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It should be noted that on the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, the Single Bench of Lahore High Court suspended the Election Commission’s notification to conduct the general elections with the Executive.

However, the Supreme Court suspended the decision of the Lahore High Court and directed not to process the applications related to future ROs and DROs.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the election schedule on the instructions of the Supreme Court, according to which the general elections will be held across the country on February 8.
