Islamabad: The court ordered the death sentence to the accused husband Shahnawaz Amir in the murder case of Canadian citizen Sara Inam.
District and Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana while pronouncing a safe verdict ordered the death penalty to the accused Shahnawaz Ameer and also imposed a fine of 10 lakh rupees.
Sara Inam was killed on September 23, 2022 in Islamabad after which police registered a case against her husband Shahnawaz Amir and arrested her.
The accused’s mother, Samina Shah, is also named in the case. The court started the trial on December 5, 2022 by indicting the accused.
In the Sara Inam murder case, the accused had denied the crime, the court had reserved the verdict after recording the statements of the prosecution witnesses.
