Peshawar: Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that when the country is in trouble, we should forget the political differences and face the challenges as one.
While addressing the lawyers’ convention at the High Court Bar, Chairman PP said that DI Khan condemns the incident of terrorism. Terrorism is rising again, we all have to fight it together and no single party can fight it. If we continue to fight each other, the enemy will continue to take advantage of it. When the country is in trouble, we should forget our political differences and unite to face the challenges.
The former foreign minister said that we have made a lot of sacrifices to end terrorism. The sacrifices of those belonging to every class of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are the most. We had ended terrorism and the world was admitting that Pakistan had controlled terrorism, but then without asking the parliament, the people involved in serious terrorism were released from jail. When the government changed in Afghanistan, then these people were allowed to come here without any hindrance.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that yesterday’s incident is an example of this. This one decision has pushed Pakistan back 10 years. Due to this one decision, police, army and people are getting affected. Martyrs of APS should be told who traded their blood and how.
Talking about the hearing held in the Supreme Court yesterday, he said that yesterday he went to the Supreme Court for the reference of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, thanks to Chief Justice Faiz Isa for giving us a chance on this case. We want the history to be corrected. All those involved in this crime must be exposed. This is an opportunity to bring Pakistan out of this crisis.
Chairman PP said that no judge set an example in the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case, a dictator made his own decision. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that I have some questions from my lawyers. Can the court kill someone? Murder is murder and it is everyone’s constitutional and legal right to seek justice. When the judge says that I have to build a dam, who was the questioner at that time? Does a Chief Justice have the right to say that he is from the city and say that I will rebuild this city? What was the legal question at that time when poor houses were being rented out in Karachi? What was the legal question at that time when the Chief Justice would fix the price of tomatoes?
He said that I have been the foreign minister of this country for 18 months, I have seen for myself how much potential there is. If the politics of division, hatred and ego are buried, then this country will become a strong country. If we want to go with the world, the people are promised that this country will develop and such development will leave its neighbors behind. Bilawal Bhutto said that we can fight poverty, unemployment, inflation, but if we have to fight among ourselves, then these problems cannot end. When people get the reward of their hard work, then the country can develop.
He said that we will create economic opportunities by taking the private sector together. When the government invests in the public sector, then there will be development. Climate change is a huge problem. From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Sindh is affected by floods. The whole of Pakistan is going through electricity problems. The politician who says that I have ended load shedding, the people of the villages think which Pakistan is this where there was no load shedding.
The former foreign minister said that we have introduced the Benazir Mazdoor Income Support Card in Sindh. I am building 2 million houses in Sindh, these houses will be for the poor. 3 million families will be made houses across Pakistan. People’s Party has provided facilities for the poor people in Sindh on every platform. People living on the streets and in the slums have also become home owners. Help is also being provided to the poor people in business so that they do not face difficulties in the future. Hospitals are providing other medical facilities including heart disease to the public.
