Karachi: The quality of air in Karachi improved and became cleaner due to the south-westerly winds from the sea.
Due to the change of winds, on Monday, Karachi ranked 35th in the list of the most polluted cities in the world, while Lahore remained the first. The number of particulate meters in the atmosphere of Lahore was recorded at 268.
The Indian capital New Delhi is second with 245 particulate meters, Dhaka is third with 230 particulate meters and Kuwait City is fourth with 174 particulate meters.
According to the Air Quality Index, 150 to 200 is polluted, 200 to 300 is the most polluted, and more than 300 indicates dangerous pollution. Lahore’s atmosphere continues to record pollution.
