The robbers ran away after robbing an elderly citizen who was leaving a private bank with US dollars. The police have registered a case of robbery against the unknown accused.
In Block 13/C Gulshan Iqbal area of Aziz Bhatti police station, the unknown suspects escaped after robbing 4,000 US dollars from senior citizen Aqeeluddin son of Badruddin. The police started the investigation by registering the case number 944/2023 under section 397/34 of robbery on the complaint of the citizen.
Aqeeluddin, a senior citizen, told the police in his statement that he is a resident of Block 13/A Gulshan Iqbal and retired from employment. His son Adnan Aqeel is based in Saudi Arabia, who had sent 4,000 US dollars to a private bank, which is about 11 lakh Pakistani rupees.
According to the statement, on December 6, at around 12:00 noon, he was coming in a rickshaw after withdrawing the said amount from a private bank through a check, when two motorcycle-riding accused, one of whom was wearing a pant shirt and the other was in a shalwar kameez, came and at gunpoint. 4 thousand US dollars were stolen from them and escaped.
