Karachi: A dispute has arisen between the supervisory federal government and the supervisory Sindh government over the issue of building residential towers on the land of federal colonies in Karachi.
In order to start the survey of the above-mentioned population, the State Office Karachi officials were called back by the authorized authority in the meeting of the East District Government. The State Office has clarified that this land is the property of the federal government. How can the government create a vacancy or start a project?
Sources say that the Sindh government is planning to demolish the government quarters located on Martin Road, Culton Road and Jahangir Road in the old federal colonies of Karachi and build residential and commercial towers here.
Sources said that till now the caretaker government of Sindh has not made any official contact with the federation. In which the local officers of the two institutions participated without the permission of the federation, however, when the information about this matter reached the competent authority of the State Office Islamabad, they sought an answer from the officers of the State Office Karachi as to whose permission they participated in this meeting. The staff of the state office has come to say that until the federal government comes up with a policy in this regard, we cannot provide any information or support to the caretaker provincial government or the district administration in this matter.

Important sources of the Ministry of Housing say that the caretaker government of Sindh has made a plan to build towers on federal residential colonies on its own. And a conflict has arisen between the governments of Sindh.
Chairman Planning of Sindh Government says that this is a plan for the rehabilitation of the residents there. It is the work of competent provincial authorities to contact the Federation.
Meanwhile, the central leader of MQM Pakistan and former federal minister Aminul Haq said that the residential colonies of Martin Road, Culton Road and Jahangir Road are the property of the federation. The Sindh government cannot start any project on this land without the approval of the federation.
Local UC Chairman of Jamaat-e-Islami Kaleem-ul-Haq Usmani said that Jamaat-e-Islami is with the residents of the area on this issue. The Sindh government refrained from evicting the residents here.
