Lahore: The High Court ordered the closure of commercial activities in the provincial capital at 10 pm in connection with smog.
The court ordered CCPO Lahore to implement the order to stop commercial activities at 10 pm. The Lahore High Court said in the judgment that the Chief Minister’s Secretary CCPO Lahore should take steps to control smog. Also give instructions. Administration Lahore and Govt also issue notification in this regard.
Justice Shahid Karim issued a written order on the petitions of Haroon Farooq and others, in which it has been said that the notification of work from home for 2 days a week should be issued to private institutions, including banks. In addition, the court directed the DG Environment. Ordered to re-seal the industrial units which were de-sealed due to pollution.
The High Court, while ordering action against the de-sealing officers of the Environment Department, sought a report on the sealing of the factories at the next hearing. In the written order, it has been further stated that actions should be continued against those who park on the green belt. The farm house damaging the green belt should be demolished.
