Karachi: The Sindh High Court has sought further progress reports from the relevant institutions in the Baldia factory execution case.
The Baldia factory execution case was heard in the Sindh High Court, in which Additional IG Karachi Khadim Hussain Rand appeared. A report was presented in the court about the absconding and advertising accused. Apart from this, a report was also submitted to the court by the NADRA officials.
NADRA’s counsel submitted that the record of absconding and advertising accused provided to us is not complete. The National Identity Card numbers of the accused are not present in the records provided. All information must be provided to us so that the process can be initiated.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 19 while seeking further progress report from the concerned institutions on the next hearing. It should be noted that the court has ordered to block the identity cards of absconding and advertising accused while the police say that more than 50 thousand accused are absconding and advertising across Sindh.
After the hearing, Additional IG Karachi Khadim Hussain Rind said in an informal conversation that the implementation report has been submitted to the court. Out of 50,000 fugitives and accused persons, 26% have been successfully arrested. All the accused in Karachi will be arrested. Asked about the accused in the police, Additional IG Karachi Khadim Hussain Rand said that whoever is there will be caught.
