Will ask India to take measures against smog, Environment Minister Punjab

Lahore: Caretaker Environment Minister Bilal Afzal has said that artificial rain has been decided against smog, fog comes here due to burning of crops in India, we will ask India to take measures against smog.

Talking in the Express News program “Center Stage”, he said that it has been decided to send artificial rain to remedy the smog. are making a plan to control it, it is expected that the weather will be cloudy in Lahore on November 28 and 29 and if these clouds are sprayed with salt by plane, there may be a chance of rain.

He said that the experts of Punjab University are preparing a plan regarding artificial rain and will suggest the plan. The rain that fell in the last few days had reduced the smog significantly.

The caretaker environment minister said that farmers burn crops in India, which increases the smog situation, farmers burn crops there and all the air comes towards Lahore, we control everything on our side. Even if we do it, the problem is that what seems to be India’s territory with us is the rice belt. In this regard, India will have to take measures so that our atmosphere can be cured and measures should be taken so that the crops do not have to be burnt.

Caretaker Environment Minister Punjab said that regarding the issue of smog, we will use diplomatic channels, we will request the Prime Minister of Pakistan to inform India in writing about this issue.

He said that it has become a national and international issue, our air is polluted for which long-term policies need to be made.
