Smog emergency imposed in Punjab, decision not to close schools, masks mandatory for students

Lahore: The caretaker government imposed smog emergency across Punjab.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi in ​​which anti-smog measures were considered.

In the meeting, it was decided not to stop school holidays and transport, however, masks were made mandatory for students in all public and private schools for a month.

Mohsin Naqvi directed that action will be taken against those who do not sprinkle soil, sand and debris during the construction of houses.

He ordered to withdraw the challan issued against the farmers during the smog and said that the farmers should not burn the crop residue but should dispose of it properly. Indiscriminate action against smog-emitting vehicles and factories should be continued.
