Karachi: A corruption of Rs 50 crore has been revealed in the Sindh Assembly’s printing and publication budget.

According to the sources, a new example of corruption and irregularities has emerged in the Sindh Assembly, according to which a corruption of Rs. The letter has been written. The Senior Special Secretary has recommended in the letter to refer the matter to Anti-Corruption.

According to the text of the letter, since last 38 years, only 1785 days of Sindh Assembly have been held, out of which only 400 days of sessions have records of speeches and debates in print. A record of 1384 days is still pending while a lot of records have been lost.

The letter further states that according to the law, it is the responsibility of the Sindh Assembly Secretary to prepare a report of the proceedings of each meeting. MHM Hasan Shah failed to preserve the proceedings and records of the House. Additional Secretary Habib Samijo committed irregularities of Rs 50 crore from the budget of Printing and Publication. MHM Hasan Shah was illegally promoted as Senior Special Secretary. The matter should be sent to Anti-Corruption by giving a show cause notice to the officers involved and a team should be formed to complete the pending records.
