Islamabad: The Election Commission appointed Chairman PTI Imran Khan for hearing the petition related to his removal from the party post.
According to Express News, the Election Commission has released the cause list for the next week, according to which the petition to remove the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf has been approved for hearing. The Election Commission has issued a notice to Imran Khan. A formal hearing will be held on the removal request.
The hearing against Imran Khan will be conducted by a 5-member commission headed by the Chief Election Commissioner. The Election Commission also issued a notice to the petitioner, Khalid Mehmood, after the conviction in the Tosha Khana case, the request was made to remove the Chairman PTI from office.
Likewise, the contempt Election Commission cases against Chairman PTI Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry have been set for hearing. Umar and Fawad Chaudhry will be charged in the contempt of election commission cases.
The Election Commission directed Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhary to appear in person.
