Illegal aliens likely to be given a final deadline to leave the country

Islamabad: The National Apex Committee has taken the final decision to deport all foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan.

A National Apex Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, in which civil and military officials, heads of sensitive institutions, four provincial IGs and chief secretaries participated. In the meeting, the overall law and order situation of the country was reviewed.

The Apex Committee has taken the final decision to deport all foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan under the National Action Plan.

According to sources, the illegal aliens are likely to be given a final deadline to leave the country. All expatriates will be obliged to sell all assets and repatriate by the expected deadline.

Once the deadline expires, the foreigners will be deported and the properties will be confiscated.

Only Afghan refugees with “Proof of Registration” will be eligible to settle in Pakistan. Afghan citizens will be able to travel to Pakistan only on legally issued digitized “e-Tazkeera”. Afghan nationals holding regular legal visas will also be eligible to travel to Pakistan. All illegal Afghan refugees, citizens residing in Pakistan will also have to return to their country by the possible deadline.
