Mumbai: Famous Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has disclosed about her father and renowned Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, saying that he was addicted to alcohol in the past.
According to Indian media, Alia Bhatt in her recent interview talked about her parents Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan’s struggle in Bollywood and financial difficulties.
Talking about her father Mahesh Bhatt’s past, Alia Bhatt said, ‘There was a time in the past when many of my father’s films were flops, during which he faced financial problems and in such difficult circumstances my father turned to alcohol. He was also addicted to alcohol.
The actress said, ‘My father fought against alcohol addiction and gave up his habit and then my parents struggled a lot to reach this point’.
Referring to the career of her mother Soni Razdan, she said that ‘My mother started her career without any industry connection, my mother did not know Hindi but still she worked hard for her dreams’. .
Alia Bhatt added that ‘my mother through her hard work got various acting opportunities in television, film and theatre, she used to go from theater to film studios and television studios for auditions’.
