Karachi: The world’s largest search engine ‘Google’ is celebrating its 25th anniversary today.
On the occasion of Google’s 25th anniversary, Google’s doodle also changed and the number 25 started appearing in the middle. Google was founded on September 27, 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, doctoral students in Stanford University’s computer science program.
Both worked tirelessly to develop a better search engine. He established Google’s first office in a rented garage and today Google has become the richest company in the world after Apple.
Today, there is hardly any country where things are not searched on Google, videos are not watched on YouTube, emails are not sent from Gmail and smartphones are not operated by Android operating system.
Today, Google has 4.5 billion users in 160 countries. Today Google is providing hundreds if not dozens of services and web searching is only one of them.
