Since Hindu hatred has been given more air than necessary, so changing and erasing the name which is similar to the name of Hindus is considered to be the greatest reward. This is the reason why in Peshawar and other areas of the province wherever some of our Religious people get such names, they try to make it honorable by Islam, however, by changing the name of a monument or place, it is not just a change of name, but with it a history, monument and culture of that era. It is said that the Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar was the first to stop the five-time adhan and congregational prayers in his court, and the names Ahmad and Muhammad, who became dear to the king for the sake of the Hindus outside and the Hindu wives of the house, were added to their names. After that, the classical poet Muazullah Khan Momand, Ahmad Shah Abdali and even the English Orientalist James Dormestator also wrote a book fifty years before the establishment of Pakistan and named it “Pakhtun Khawa Dasharhar Wa Bihar”, but the British imperialism gave it the name of the North-West Frontier Province instead of this historical name. This was the reason why Pakhtuns kept demanding this ancient historical name from every government in every period of history. were and interpreted it as their national identity and recognition and those who opposed the change of name and considered it a political problem or a mental innovation of a political party, then they were wrong because Herodotus, Khush Khal Khan Khattak, Akhoon Darweza, Muazullah Khan Momand or Ahmad Shah Abdali have passed centuries before the creation of Pakistan, so were they also related to any particular nationalist political party of the province? Similarly, the old name of Peshawar was Bagram, the ancient name of Charsadda was Pushkalawati, while for some time it was also called Ashingar, and even now the whole area is called Ashingar. After the establishment of Pakistan, the names of many historical and ancient monuments, streets, gardens, villages and parks have also been changed.

The famous park in Peshawar which was built during the British era was called Cunningham. After the establishment of Pakistan, it was named as Jinnah Park. Similarly, in Peshawar, there is a place called Panj Tira which used to be a cremation ground for Hindus. Later the name of this place was changed to Gardu Mandi and till today it is written and called by the same name.

The old name of Peshawar’s famous Garden Company Garden was also changed to Khalid Bin Waleed Park. A famous bazaar located in Saddar was known as Gora Bazar, while later it has been renamed as Liaquat Street but still more people know it as Gora Bazar.

A neighborhood named Islamabad has been running for a long time, while the people of another area have also named their area Islamabad, which the people of the previous neighborhood objected to and talked about. If the religious extremism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues like this, then maybe the names of the ancient monuments and areas, markets and neighborhoods of Buddhism, Hinduism, Mughal era, Sikh Raj, and British era will be changed. Or people whose names are similar to Hindu names may also have to change their names but the question is that words have their own religion and no specific region and geography.

A word is sacred in any language. Therefore, taking care of the sanctity and sanctity of the word is humanity and tolerance, whatever the name of the language, especially the ancient monuments, cities, villages, villages, gardens and parks along with a history, civilization and culture of its own era. It is associated then, just as we have devotion to our nation’s ancestors, heroes, ancient monuments and their names in our language, so the feelings of the people of another nation are also the same.
