He came home with a mouthful and complained to his parents that you people have given me such a Hindu name, because of which I will always burn in hellfire with Hindus after death.

Hearing this, his parents were also worried and asked their son, what are you saying, who told you that your name Ram Dad is a Hindu name? The son replied that this was told to me today by the new Islamic teacher in his school that the word Ram appears in your name and Ram is the name of the holy person of Hindus. Therefore, change your name from Ram Dad, because it is an un-Islamic name and because of this name you will be severely punished on the Day of Resurrection and you will rise up like Hindus on the Day of Judgment. Hearing this, his parents were also offended.

Who parents can throw their children in the fire of hell? However, they did not have any answer to this question and they did not know the meaning of Ramdad because they were both illiterate. When they heard from their son that Ramdad is a Hindu name, they also started repenting. And told his son to change his name according to the teacher’s choice and thus he became Rahim Dad from Ram Dad. But apart from school and a few people in his house, people still call him by his old name, on which he sometimes gets angry and has quarreled with many people, but he is still unable to get rid of the name of Ram Dad. .

It is not only Ram Dadki, but there are also stories of many places, whose names have changed from one person to another, and this kind of process is still going on, and this is not from today, but from ancient times. Going on, history is full of countless examples that whenever a nation conquered another nation or country, they changed the names of important places, highways, monuments to their own names.

The proof of which is still found in the ancient names of most of the regions of the country which refer to Aryan, Saka, Kishan, Hun, Mughal, Sikh and British era. Many of which names were changed simply because they are un-Islamic names of non-nations. In this regard, most of the areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the provincial capital Peshawar, the old historical, especially Hindu, names of many places were changed only because they are kept by Hindus and religious extremists continue to play the most important role in this regard.

Since Hindu hatred has been given more air than necessary, so changing and erasing the name which is similar to the name of Hindus is considered to be the greatest reward. This is the reason why in Peshawar and other areas of the province wherever some of our Religious people get such names, they try to make it honorable by Islam, however, by changing the name of a monument or place, it is not just a change of name, but with it a history, monument and culture of that era. The process is similar to erasing the residue.

It is said that the Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar was the first to stop the five-time adhan and congregational prayers in his court, and the names Ahmad and Muhammad, who became dear to the king for the sake of the Hindus outside and the Hindu wives of the house, were added to their names. All the names of the tombs which were known with such names were removed. Even later, as many rulers and conquerors came, during their periods, the monuments of conquered nations and their places were named after them.

The ancient and historical name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was “Pakhtun Khawa” and it was mentioned by the father of history Herodotus in his history or five hundred years ago, the famous saint of Pakhtuns, Akhoon Darweeza, also mentioned in his famous book “Makhzn”. I have written and called this region as Pakhtun Khawa more than ten times.

After that, Khush Khal Khan Khattak also wrote and called the region of Pakhtuns by the same name. After that, the classical poet Muazullah Khan Momand, Ahmad Shah Abdali and even the English Orientalist James Dormestator also wrote a book fifty years before the establishment of Pakistan and named it “Pakhtun Khawa Dasharhar Wa Bihar”, but the British imperialism gave it the name of the North-West Frontier Province instead of this historical name. This was the reason why Pakhtuns kept demanding this ancient historical name from every government in every period of history. were and interpreted it as their national identity and recognition and those who opposed the change of name and considered it a political problem or a mental innovation of a political party, then they were wrong because Herodotus, Khush Khal Khan Khattak, Akhoon Darweza, Muazullah Khan Momand or Ahmad Shah Abdali have passed centuries before the creation of Pakistan, so were they also related to any particular nationalist political party of the province? Similarly, the old name of Peshawar was Bagram, the ancient name of Charsadda was Pushkalawati, while for some time it was also called Ashingar, and even now the whole area is called Ashingar. After the establishment of Pakistan, the names of many historical and ancient monuments, streets, gardens, villages and parks have also been changed.

The famous park in Peshawar which was built during the British era was called Cunningham. After the establishment of Pakistan, it was named as Jinnah Park. Similarly, in Peshawar, there is a place called Panj Tira which used to be a cremation ground for Hindus. Later the name of this place was changed to Gardu Mandi and till today it is written and called by the same name.

While there is another such neighborhood in Karimpura area of Peshawar, whose old name was Sujan Rai, but some time after the existence of Pakistan, scholars and people raised the question that this name is Hinduwana and as we are Muslims, it is Therefore, an Islamic name should be given to it, on which the name of this neighborhood was unanimously changed to Mohalla Subhan and this move started to affect other areas of Peshawar and people thought of changing the names of their areas and then a The crowd started moving.

In this regard, the name of Krishnapura was also changed. Before this, it was an important place of Hindus, but after their departure, the area was renamed as Dar-ul-Salaam. Similarly, Nanakpura was also a name that Qiyam was going on before Pakistan, but later people changed its name to Bilal Town on their own. The old name of Peshawar’s famous Garden Company Garden was also changed to Khalid Bin Waleed Park. A famous bazaar located in Saddar was known as Gora Bazar, while later it has been renamed as Liaquat Street but still more people know it as Gora Bazar.

While the number of people who know the name of Liaquat Street is quite less. Similarly, a neighborhood in Bazarkallan was named after Chak Sazan and its name was changed to Mohalla Sharif Hussain after a long time and the same name continues even today. There is a place on Pajagi Road which is now known as Maskinabad although it was earlier called Machanogarhi which was later changed. Similarly, an area of the city was known as Shah Dhand, but recently its name has been changed to Shaheen Muslim Town.

Similarly, Peshawar Stadium located on Bara Road in Sadar has also been renamed as Qayyum Stadium after former Chief Minister Abdul Qayyum Khan. The name of Mohalla Chandu Gali located in the famous market of Dabagri of the city has also been changed to Abu Bakr Siddique and Dabagari after a senior Shah Qoob. Similarly, the name of a village near Peshawar was Pashungaru Kale. Which is now called by the name of Pashtun Garhi, while there is an area called Budhu near the city, which was going by the same name since the time of Buddhism, it has been renamed as Samar Bagh. Also in Swat there was a place called Bat Kada which had a lot of historical importance because of Gautama Buddha and there are some number of idols here. Its name was later changed to Gul Kada.

Similarly, the name of a village in Kalyas, an area of Charsadda was Bangladesh, but after the fall of Dhaka, differences began to emerge over this name and after a long time its name was changed to Hayatabad, but even today it is Bangladesh. A neighborhood named Islamabad has been running for a long time, while the people of another area have also named their area Islamabad, which the people of the previous neighborhood objected to and talked about. It increased and reached the Nawab Jirga, so finally they were named Islamabad No.1 and Islamabad No.2.

Apart from this, there was a village called Damano Clay in Mardan and the occupation of the people living here was to play songs. Damano Clay means “village of heritage”. As there were other people living in this village, they objected to this name and decided to change it, considering this name as a source of infamy, and after drinking coffee, changed the name to Diptiabad. given.

Similarly, an area near Akora Khattak was named after Khattak Sardar Dangarze, but later it was renamed Adamzai, which inspired two villages of the same name in the villages of Swabi district, Jalsai and Jalbai. The neighborhood was assigned and the name of Kamma Jalbai located in the same area was also named Sherabad.

Similarly, the name of an area of Peshawar, Kulma, has also been changed to Sherabad, another area near Peshawar was named Suit Mara, which has been changed to Islamabad. And during the time when the local Taliban movement became active in Swat, it has also changed the names of many areas. Maulana Fazlullah, the leader of this movement, also changed the name of his area from Imam Dheri to Iman Dheri. Similarly, the name of Koza Bandi was changed to Shariat Banda and Bura Bandi area to Mujahid Banda. But people still know and call these areas by their old names.

If the religious extremism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues like this, then maybe the names of the ancient monuments and areas, markets and neighborhoods of Buddhism, Hinduism, Mughal era, Sikh Raj, and British era will be changed. Or people whose names are similar to Hindu names may also have to change their names but the question is that words have their own religion and no specific region and geography.

A word is sacred in any language. Therefore, taking care of the sanctity and sanctity of the word is humanity and tolerance, whatever the name of the language, especially the ancient monuments, cities, villages, villages, gardens and parks along with a history, civilization and culture of its own era. It is associated then, just as we have devotion to our nation’s ancestors, heroes, ancient monuments and their names in our language, so the feelings of the people of another nation are also the same.

Therefore, by erasing the remnants of another language or another religion or erasing and changing them, the religion cannot be served, nor can it have any good effects on the country, nation and society. Intolerance, sectarianism, extremism, and bigotry will further increase in the society which we are already suffering from, therefore,

For the sanctity of the word, for the greatness of the letter

Let’s pledge allegiance to the truth
