Karachi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered more than two and a half maunds of hashish and seized 30 bore arms during an operation in Malir area of ​​Shahr Quaid.

According to the spokesperson of ANF, operations against drug trafficking are continuing, during 5 operations across the country, more than 183 kilograms of drugs were recovered and 8 suspects were arrested.

100 kg 800 grams of hashish and 30 bore pistol with ammunition were recovered from a vehicle near Malir. The suspect, a resident of Mustang, was arrested for trying to smuggle drugs.

26 kg 400 grams of opium and 12 kg of ice were recovered from a vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad in Islamabad and during the operation two suspects who belong to Mardan and Kashmir were arrested.

Apart from this, ANF seized 27 kg 600 grams of hashish from a rickshaw near Madina Chowk, Attock, during which the accused, a resident of Attock, was arrested, who was smuggling the drug by hiding it in the secret compartments of the rickshaw.

During a joint operation of ANF with Punjab Rangers near Badian Check Post Lahore, 3 suspects, residents of Lahore and Khanewal were arrested in two vehicles, 6 kg of heroin and one aerial drone were recovered from the possession of the accused.

According to the spokesperson, further investigations have been started by registering cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested accused.
