Farhan Akhtar says web series ‘Bombay Meri Jaan’ is not about Dawood Ibrahim or Haji Mustan.
While talking to Indian media, filmmakers Farhan Akhtar and Rancel de Silva said that their show is not based on Dawood Ibrahim or Haji Mustan.
He said that this is a new fictional story which is filmed on Mumbai’s underworld mafia.
Farhan Akhtar is the producer of the web series while Rencel D’Silva is the director.
The story of ‘Bombay Meri Jaan’ is credited to Hussain Zaidi, who reported on the underworld for many years and wrote several books on it.
His books ‘Class of 83’ and ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ were also made into films.
‘Bombay Meri Jaan’ stars KK Menon and Avnish Tiwari in lead roles.
