“Pakistan Theater Festival” organized by Arts Council Karachi was presented by German Theater Group at Theater Trashedy Auditorium I.
The director of the theater was Leandro Case while the cast of the drama included Mari, Lena Kaiser, Daniel Matthews, Julia Carvalho, Elena Brahms Ritzau.
The drama was related to the topic of climate change which is not only Pakistan but a global problem.
A German theater raised awareness about the damage caused by plastic to the environment while artists performed with their hands on the music playing in the background.
The theater showed how life was like when the earth was formed, the sea was clean, there were aquatic life, there were animals in the forests, then humans evolved and humans invented many things for their convenience, one of which is The thing is plastic, which is polluting the environment.
When plastic breaks down or becomes microplastic, it gets involved in one or the other food cycle and ends up in our stomach and makes us sick.
It was also told in the theater that we progressed, cars came, buses came, TV, computers and mobiles came, people moved away from each other, trees were cut down and concrete jungle was created and the beauty of our planet. It was destroyed.
The special feature of this theater was that it involved the youth as well as children from Lyari and Defense schools who are future architects.
