Quetta: The government has announced compensation to the families of the youth who was killed by customs officials in Balochistan.
A youth was killed by firing by customs officials in Quetta, following which the family protested along with the body on Airport Road, which blocked the traffic on the road and led to long queues.
Caretaker Information Minister John Achakzai reached the sit-in and held talks with the protestors and assured justice.
The caretaker information minister said that the provincial government will compensate the kin of the deceased youth, and has assured the protesters’ committee to accept their demands.
Later, Provincial Minister John Achakzai also met the Collector of Customs and discussed the situation related to the incident.
