The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen 13 bank accounts of national airline PIA.
According to FBR officials, this action has been taken due to non-payment of federal excise duty of Rs.8 billion by PIA.
FBR officials say that the bank account linked to Ayata will also be frozen.
FBR officials have said that it has also been decided to register an FIR against the PIA officials for not submitting the FED.
FBR officials have also informed that despite opening the accounts last month too, the money was not deposited by PIA.
