Islamabad: Islamabad High Court imposed a fine of 25 thousand rupees on the IG Islamabad in the request to remove Shireen Mazari’s name from ECL.
The High Court ordered that the IG should pay Rs 25,000 to the petitioner Shireen Mazari before the next hearing. On August 2, IG Islamabad was ordered to submit a reply within a week. The answer was not submitted till August 10, the court also accepted the request for a week’s respite. Even on August 29, IG Islamabad did not submit the answer.
The court said that a fine of 25 thousand rupees is imposed on the IG Islamabad even today for not submitting the answer. In the court order, it was said that the IG should conduct an inquiry as to why the answer was not submitted as per the court order. . Take action on inquiry and submit reply within 2 weeks.
Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri issued a three-page written order, imposing a fine of Rs 25,000 on IG Islamabad and ordering him to submit a reply within 2 weeks.
