Arrival of more than 8 lakh tourists to see the snowfall at the tourist spots of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar: This year, more than 8 lakh domestic and foreign tourists visited the tourist spots of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to witness the winter snowfall.

According to Express News, tourist places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reached to see the snow-capped mountains, the most 5 lakh tourists reached Malam Jabba, domestic and foreign tourists became captives of the snow-capped mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During one month, more than 8 lakh domestic and foreign tourists visited the upper tourist spots of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the data released by the Department of Tourism, the highest number of 552 thousand 785 tourists visited Malam Jabba, including 17 foreign tourists, while 233 thousand 666 tourists visited Galiyat.

According to the report, 79 thousand 548 tourists came to enjoy the snowfall in Kaghan Naran, 23 thousand 711 domestic and 31 foreign tourists visited remote places of Upper and Lower Chitral, more than 1 thousand domestic and foreign tourists visited Upper Dir.

The spokesperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Tourism Authority, Muhammad Saad, says that for the convenience of tourists, tourism police and staff are deployed at all tourist spots, where diligent officials are providing services to solve the problems of tourists. The roads were cleared of snow in time for a comfortable journey for the tourists and efforts are still being made to provide better facilities to the tourists in collaboration with the local administration.

It may be noted that this year after the floods in the Swat Valley of Malakand Division, there was a massive destruction, after which the government, administration and Pakistan Army restored the communication and accommodation system on an emergency basis to restore tourism.
