Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, caretaker provincial transport minister Shahid Khattak has resigned from the cabinet after the Election Commission’s notice.
The caretaker provincial minister has sent his resignation to the caretaker chief minister confirming his decision. It should be noted that the Election Commission had taken notice of the caretaker provincial minister Shahid Khattak’s speech in the ANP rally and directed the removal of the provincial minister from the caretaker government, after which the caretaker provincial transport minister Shahid Khattak resigned from the ministry.
He has stated the reasons for personal engagements in the resignation sent to the Caretaker Chief Minister. The resigned Caretaker Provincial Minister has confirmed his decision and said that he is grateful to his party and Isfandiar Wali Khan for naming him for the Caretaker Cabinet.
Apart from this, an oath-taking ceremony was held at the Governor House Peshawar, in which the Caretaker Chief Minister’s Advisor Matiullah Khan took the oath of office as the Caretaker Provincial Minister. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali administered the oath of office to the nominated caretaker provincial minister Matiullah Khan. Caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan also participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
