Suicide attack on FC vehicle in Peshawar, 8 injured

Peshawar: 8 people including FC officials were injured in a suicide blast near FC vehicle in Hayatabad while the assailant was killed.

According to Express News, there was an explosion near FC’s vehicle in Hayatabad Phase Six area of ​​Peshawar, as a result of which 8 people were injured. As soon as the information was received, rescue 1122 ambulances, fire vehicles and security agencies reached the spot.

The aid organization has confirmed the injuries of 8 people who have been shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast. According to the police, the person who died in the explosion was a suicide bomber.

Hayatabad Medical Complex Medical Director Professor Shahzad Akbar Khan confirmed that two people injured in the blast were brought to the hospital and the condition of both is out of danger. He said that the rest of the injured have been taken to another hospital, CMH.

According to SP Cantt Waqas Rafiq, the blast happened on FC’s vehicle, the blast seems to be a suicide attack which took place near Shulman Park, the FC’s vehicle was targeted in the blast.

It is reported that two FC personnel were injured in the blast and their condition is out of danger.

According to police officials, the attacker was in a vehicle, the details of which are being obtained. Bomb disposal squad personnel were also called to the scene for investigation while security forces surrounded the area.

According to the sources, the newly formed military organization Tehreek Jihad Pakistan has accepted the responsibility of the blast.

Explosives were in the vehicle’s tank, initial bomb disposal reports said

According to the initial report of bomb disposal, explosives were kept in the tank of the vehicle in the Peshawar blast, 20 to 25 kg of explosives were present in the CNG cylinder while high explosive explosives were used in the incident.

According to the BDU, there was no evidence of the use of a suicide jacket in the blast.
