The accountability court of Karachi expressed its anger on the NAB officials for not presenting the details of the assets of Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani.
A reference hearing was held against Agha Siraj Durrani and others for creating assets in excess of income.
The court asked that the report was asked for on the last hearing and it was not submitted today, is this the performance of NAB?
Agha Siraj’s lawyer, Advocate Rehman Ghos said that NAB reference is not made against Agha Siraj Durrani.
The court said that the value of the items in the list of assets included in the reference will have to be determined.
The accountability court said that an item that was bought for 10 lakhs 20 years ago will be worth 20 crores now, the autocrat has no mechanism to determine the prices of vehicles etc.
The NAB prosecutor said that the entire reference amount will be counted and not just one person, give us the last chance to submit the report.
The court called for an estimate report regarding the property and other assets of Agha Siraj.
The accountability court adjourned further hearing of the reference till August 5.
