Karachi: Famous director of Pakistan showbiz industry Abu Aliha has announced to make feature film ‘Bhupo’ in Sindhi language.
Director Abu Aliha, who is known for films like Javed Iqbal, An Kahi Kahani and Dadal, says that after 26 years, a film is going to be made in Sindhi. The last time a film was released in Sindhi was in 1997.
The director said in a Twitter message about the film that he realized during Tharparkar’s Reiki that the story here cannot be told in Urdu or any other language. It has to be told in local Sindhi and Thri language only.

Abu Aliha said that he has translated the script of the story in Sindhi and now he is making the film “Bhupo” in Sindhi, but he will definitely dub the film in Urdu later.
The feature film will depict the story of Tharparkar’s Bhupa tribe, for which he has also hired an acting coach to hone the acting skills of the locals who will be part of the film’s story.

He said in one of his tweets that singer Nirmala from Tharparkar has also recorded 2 songs which will be a part of the film.
During an interview, Abu Aliha said that the film is based on the ancient Bhupa tribes of Tharparkar and Rajasthan, which have a heritage dating back hundreds of years. This tribe is known for black magic.
He said that the feature film will be released internationally. The film is a claustrophobic thriller whose story revolves around love and survival.
