Mumbai: Ranveer Singh got a birthday gift from famous Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his name has been finalized for ‘Biju Bawara’.
There were reports in the industry that after the failure of Ranveer’s films ‘Jaishbhai Jordaar’ and ‘Circus’, the filmmakers are considering casting Ranveer’s name for the lead role in their musical film.
Sources close to the filmmaker told Indian media that the names of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were already finalized for the lead role of ‘Biju Bawara’ and the reports of their replacement are not true.
Sources say that some people advised Bhansali not to do any more films with Ranveer after the continuous failure of Ranveer’s films, but the filmmaker has refused.
He further said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali does not care how many films he has done with an actor and how many films of that actor have flopped.
