California: Updates are rarely offered to the web version of Google Messages, but in a recent update, users will now be able to reply directly to messages on the web version, just like on Android.
RCS was last updated in the web version of Google Messages. An RCS chat is a chat in which the other person writes something as ‘typing’ and you get a receipt that someone has received or read your message.
Google recently introduced a feature to directly reply to RCS messages on the desktop web client. Under this feature, a reply-to-message option appears above the text field, similar to the feature that was released for Android in October 2022.
Features of copying text, deleting and replying with emoji have also been introduced on the Google Messages version.
Also for the ware operating system, Messages has introduced a new design with slimmer edges for ‘suggested replies’ with capsule-shaped containers.
