Paris Summit: Prime Minister's emphasis on creating a policy for fair distribution of resources from the international community

Paris: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is facing economic problems due to climate change, last year it also faced devastating floods due to this reason.

Addressing the summit on the new global financial agreement held in Paris, the Prime Minister said that due to climate change, Pakistan faced catastrophic floods last year, which completely destroyed two million houses while 3.3 million people were displaced and Thousands of acres of standing crops were destroyed.

He said that Pakistan is facing economic difficulties due to climate change, the Secretary General of the United Nations visited the flood affected areas and saw the devastation with his own eyes. The Prime Minister said that the people of Pakistan faced the flood disaster very bravely.

Shahbaz Sharif said that crores of dollars have been spent for the rehabilitation of the flood victims. The Prime Minister urged the world to formulate a policy for fair distribution of resources.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also held meetings with world leaders and personalities in which bilateral relations and climate change faced by Pakistan were discussed.

He said that he informed the Secretary General about the steps taken to restore the flood victims, the restoration and resettlement of the flood victims is and will remain our first priority, the economic pressure on the developing countries has increased due to climate change. The Prime Minister said that the Loss and Damage Fund should be utilized in COP 27 for financial assistance to developing countries, the summit in Paris for a new global financial agreement is a good and right start, developing countries with climate justice. Meeting with the French President

On the occasion of the summit held on the subject of the new global financial agreement, the Prime Minister met French President Macron, in which Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to the French president for calling the summit on the new global financial agreement.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Macron for the invitation and warm hospitality at the summit and said that you have taken a bold step towards a system based on financial justice with developing countries, for which I am grateful to you.

He said that developing countries are facing problems of lack of resources, burden of debt and interest payments and frozen growth. Under the new global financial agreement, the help of developing countries drowning in the quagmire of debt is the need of the hour. People can get relief.
