Actor Asim Mehmood, who recently made his entry in Geo TV’s blockbuster drama serial ‘Tere Bin’, says that his entry in ‘Tere Bin’ was mocked, but as expected, it is now being liked a lot.
Actor Asim Mehmood, who recently appeared as a guest on the web show, talked about his character in the drama serial ‘Tere Bin’ and expressed his happiness regarding the response (feedback) from the fans.
It should be noted that Asim Mahmood is playing the role of a soft-hearted Pakhtun conductor and rickshaw driver in the drama serial ‘Tere Bin’. His Pakhtun accent and dialogue delivery in the drama is being liked and appreciated immensely.
While giving an interview, he said that when the news started circulating on social media that the new character ‘Farukh Khan’ is going to enter the drama soon, there were speculations about it that it would be a royal character. There will be a doctor or a lawyer because everything has been shown so luxuriously in the drama so far’.
He said that as soon as ‘Farukh Khan’ entered, people made a lot of fun, I was also trolled that I have become a conductor, people did not make any difference between the role of reality and drama and started trolling. .
Regarding the trolling on social media, he said that ‘a scene in the play also drew criticism that if the bus passenger did not have the money for the fare, he was removed from the bus or his gold chain was kept etc. etc’. He said that people should understand that it is only a role and that is what a bus conductor does.
He further said that later in the play, when this bus conductor helped Merib while driving a rickshaw at night, saving her life, people started liking him.
He compared the scenes of this drama with his earlier drama ‘Rang Mahal’ and said that his character in that too was initially receiving negative feedback and when the same character became the CEO of the company, praises started pouring in.
He said that his acting and role in the drama are not only praised by fans, but fellow artists Sami Khan and Salim Sheikh have also called and appreciated him a lot.
